
Meet Dr. Julie McDermott
Dr. McDermott is a native of South Carolina. She is a cum laude graduate of Francis Marion College in Florence. She attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston before moving to the Upstate for residency in Greenville. While in the Upstate, Dr. McDermott was Chief Resident in Family Practice and Outstanding Resident of the year in 1994. She later went on to be Department Chairperson at St. Francis Hospital from January 1996 to December 1998. She has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1994 and still enjoys volunteering at the Greenville Free Clinic as a family practitioner.
Dr. McDermott began specialized training in the field of Medical Aesthetics in June 2004 through the American Academy of Family Physicians and later with the highly regarded Atlanta-based firm, Aesthetic Advancements. She is experienced in a variety of injectable treatments for correcting fine lines and wrinkles, such as Botox, Cosmoderm, Restylane and Juvederm. She also performs hair removal and skin rejuvenations with her Lumenis IPL/Laser.
Dr. McDermott is a member of the Greenville County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
In addition to her interests in Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. McDermott loves to spend time with her her two young boys, Duncan and Riley.
Meet Laura J. Gilstrap, MLT, #4774
Laura is a nationally certified, licensed massage therapist who has enjoyed practicing in the upstate since completing Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy, Greenville in February 2006. She completed additional certification in neuromuscular therapy in January 2007. Laura also continues to work part-time as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned a Bachelors degree from Columbia College in 1992 and a Masters degree in 1995 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She enjoys swimming, reading, cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband, Mike.
Meet Beth Fleury, Permanent Makeup Artist
Beth has been in the medical field for 23 years. She received an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Limited General Radiograph Certificate and Emergency Medical Technology, all from Greenville Technical College. She received a Micropigmentation Certificate from BocaTa2 in Williston, Florida.
She is very excited about bringing Permanent Makeup to the area and becoming a part of Living Well Medical Spa. Beth and her husband, Johnny, have lived in Fountain Inn for 21 years and have been married for 23 years. They have four wonderful children and four wonderful grandchildren!
